Martin Way Allotment Gardens Association

Plant Sale 2019

Our annual plant sale for plotholders and visitors was held on Saturday May 11th 2019 and was as usual a very popular event.  We opened for business at 10am and found ourselves very busy, very quickly:

Pippa was there to promote the virtues of rescuing (and keeping) battery chickens, whilst Alison explained what makes bees tick to visitors of all ages:

Valentina sold raffle tickets................Faith her own watercolours, including pictures from around the allotments

And the good folk from Headway out their work, helping people deal with from brain damage from a wide range of causes.

There was also a range of delicious home-made cakes available in the shop, along with tea and coffee, served by our welcoming volunteers!

And Adam aka Surrey Sharpeners restored blades of every description (as well as fixing our, not that one in the picture!)

Many thanks to all who helped - particularly to Sue Tickner for taking on the challenge of organising the event (well-supported by a host of volunteers of course) and to Peter Slater for dealing with the infrastructure....

See you next May!
